She's been off the road for the 4 years because I'm not happy with the spec, I could of quite easily trailered her to an event before now but going to wait till I'm fully happy. Hopefully there'll be some competition before then lol

Got a few minor jobs to do, & got to save for a TT. But tbh I keep coming up with other new ideas/mods so gave up setting a deadline/target. I enjoy working on her & coming up with new ideas so not really in a rush. Also I'm worried the original rods aren't going to hold up now so could be off the road till I get an engine built

If its a standard c70 t5, then i'd have thought mid 15s, which is decent time for a standard fwd car.

That's got to be worth a good 15-20 bhp.

I suppose it depends how "pretty much standard" it is and how good you can get it off the line.

I has a K&N cone filter, and a bleed valve, so pretty standard, getting off the line shouldn't be too hard, I've had plenty of practise and contrary to what Frankie thinks, a lot easier than launching a AWD.

Getting a fwd car off the line is easy, but not always very quick ;-)

Never had a problem with the Cougar, time will tell with the C70, though traction has improved since it's been lowered.

I'd imagine the cougar had quite a bit less torque than the t5.

Shame its not a proper drag strip, they have more grip.

If your a demon off the lights then i think a very low 15 is possible, but a 14 from an almost standard car is pushing it.

Depends how good the timing is, if its anything like the crap they use at brunters for gti international show, then anythings possible lol
