Spesh always seemed to be able to find an extra half second out of both my C70s - hence I still think I have limited talent.

ME7 is a bit of a bitch too when it comes to warmer weather. I hope next time to have cooler temps by the line otherwise it pulls stuff out left, right and centre. At least that is what I think.

Before next time I will have my injectors fettled again.

And like J says it is defo in the 1st 60ft where it is lost or found. The elusive 2.2 seconds or less is where the magic lies

Funnily enough I hit 94mph all day long at York and it didnt matter if I hit 15.1 or 15.8

    Agreed!
This will make interesting reading for anyone who is interested in improving their 1/4mile ETs and especially the first 60ft!

Why don't you invest in a water injection system? It works very well with ME7 cars going by owners comments and reviews on other forums.

I'll look into it. I already have a fairly good bench mark for intake temps at the manifold.

were these times off different race meets? wonder if a difference in temperature could of been losing you some bhp, so lost you time over the 1/4mile after a good start which gave a good 60ft time

Thank's for the kind word's justin.

I do have a few other mod's such as a HKS EVC5 to bring the boost in a little quicker de-cat in a mandrel bent exhaust.

    I did a 13.9 @ 103 in my silver saloon with similar mod's.

It's just getting a good feel for getting the car off the line finding the balance between bogging down and wheelspin.. I find loading the tranny slightly is a good thing also which is also very good for the manual box.

Another thing, I try to keep it in the powerband ie not taking it to the red line every gear.. when the boost start tailing off I change..anything after 5600 is just wasting time imo of course..

My estate has an average of 14.4 and nearly always 100+ terminals which is good in IMO. still on a 15g full interior etc + 18stone driver

Done a couple of 14.1's and one 14.0.

No worries, to add to that theres no worse feeling when you hit the rev limiter on a run, there goes your time!

Peak power in the Audi is 6000rpm onwards so i will be changing aroung 7500rpm to get the best out of it
