    Dead spot

Hi all. I hope someone can help. I have had my S60 now for a year and over the past few months I have noticed that it has a dead spot in the acceleration. It happens at about 2500rpm in first, second and third gear.

Is this a common fault and if so any ideas as to what could be causing it. Its recently had a service (none volvo dealer, Volvo parts used) and he noticed it too. He told me the only way to find out is to hook it up to the Volvo computer at a dealers. He then told me that it could be very expensive to do this.

    Any idea's anyone please.

mine hesitates as well, i had an emergency the other week & it just wouldn't race thru the gear, really held back. I've got a "engine service light" on which means there is a fault code thrown but hoping thats relating to the cruise control which doesn't work instead of an engine fault
