I know it's a long shot and it might get flamed for asking it!!
BUT, when it's really hot most of us use the AC to keep cool in the car. However is there any benefit in ducting some of that nice cold air on to the intercooler or straight into the air box during the summer months to reduce heatsoak? Would have to be by a movable flap as you would want to duct hot air in the winter?
Not too sure on how to implement it or where to take the feed (perhaps nick one of the centre to vents or the feed to the rear passengers feet!) Just a thought...
