Ducting AC onto intercooler or intake

I know it's a long shot and it might get flamed for asking it!!

BUT, when it's really hot most of us use the AC to keep cool in the car. However is there any benefit in ducting some of that nice cold air on to the intercooler or straight into the air box during the summer months to reduce heatsoak? Would have to be by a movable flap as you would want to duct hot air in the winter?

Not too sure on how to implement it or where to take the feed (perhaps nick one of the centre to vents or the feed to the rear passengers feet!) Just a thought...

Not going to make any difference, the airflow is way to small to have any noticable effect on charge temperature, plus the aircon output is driven by a small fan... the gasses inside the air intake are driven by a bloody great compressor, what would more likely happen is that you would end up with all your turbo boost coming back into the cars airvent system and then you would be VERY hot inside the car ;-). You could put a oneway valve in the system, but there is no way that your heater fan could generate enough pressure to open a valve thats got maybe 1 bar of pressure on the other side.

Even if you could make it work somehow the CFM ( cubic feet / minute ) of the heater matrix fan is so small that you simply wouldnt get enough cold air into the air intake system to reduce the intake temps.

Although if you did do it your would have the fastest windscreen demister in the world.... just rev the engine..... lol.
