    hello,
    i got the hacksaw and dremmel out cut about 2 inches off the gear lever and bought a nice momo gear knob off e bay for £10.

    yes but thats not a short shift, you have simply lowered the gearknob so unless you have really long arms or are a midget doesnt really do much.

    They are stupidly fiddly to fit so definately get someone who knows what they are doing!

    ok ok i admit it, i am a long armed midget
    But it works for me.

    I dont see how it works as its not actually doing anything other than lowering the height, its not shortening the throw.
