Having a look around the engine as brother said check the breather pipe for blockage and i found this. I can't find or see where this goes.
Any clues???
Cheers Dave

i'd say either the inlet manifold or off the vac tree, i've circled both in the pic for you to check
Off the inlet manifold mate the one on the left as you look at the pic
Why is your dipstick cable tied in?..

The pipe came from the between the inlet manifold pipes but i can't see where from. I gave the engine a little rev and no blowing or sucking air( don't be rude, lol) so not sure. I'll have another look when the car comes back. The GF has it.
It looks like the rubber elbow on the pcv system, the bit which attaches to the intake pipe near the turbo inlet or the elbow which fits onto the inlet manifold

If it's the far left one,go armed with lots of patience........oh and make sure your engine is cool, something which you may lose!!!
From the look of the large end on the elbow, it looks like the one from the turbo end
Dave have you got a zoomed out pic so that we can see where the rest of the pipe goes?

The piping seems to be wrapped up in rubber and goes underneath the manifold and out the right hand side. I'll go and take some more pics of it.
Sounding like the nightmare one...........oh bugger!!
Goes into PCV on the far left (timing side) of the block and it's a little b*****d. It's behind the inlet fanimold and as said, takes a lot of patience. Do a search on here and you'll find a detailed how to that I posted some weeks ago. Securing it is the difficulty. I'll try and find that thread if you need it. HTH.
It has to go along underneath the manifold, to the far left end of the manifold where there should be a port to push it onto. Its right by the thermostat and really hard to get to. With that pipe off, there will be air getting in after the MAF.

As Ali G ( sorry Alan ) has already said, make sure the engines cold before you even think about doing it, but from the sounds of things it would only be a temp fix
Get the PCV done ( parts from Rufe are about £70 ) then you might see a bit of a difference
