    Question Q

Does anyone have any insight into why my boost guage drops back in the higher gears? Not complaining as it flies. Just a q. Initially it's off scale and then settles back to just inside the white segment. Running with the factory BCS and an MBC with plenty of adjustment left but don't want to push my luck. Any thoughts welcome. Oh,it's been chipped also.

Every T5 i have had does it, there is always a peak spike then it settles at what the system can maintain. It could also be the actuator is not set right if its a big spike.

Yep they all have a peak boost and normally drop a few psi but myne stays out of the white line all of the time did you ever record what the boost was like when you didnt have a mbc fitted aswell.

Our stock T5 does the same 3/4 spike back to 1/2-2/3 into the white.

When I first bought the car Pete, the dash guage was roughly half way into the white. First thing was to adjust the wear out of the actuator which did increase the guage reading but only marginally. I then had it re-mapped which sent the guage to about 4/5ths. Then the MBC went on and as I've described,it now leaves the scale but does drop back slightly. When I win the lotto I,m going to buy an accurate boost guage!! Happy though, just not going to push my luck with the MBC.
