    V70 Front suspension noise.

    Hi,

I have and odd noise coming from passenger side, sounds a little like a worn bush or ball joint.
Only happens when turning right at approx 3/4 steering lock at fairly slow speed.
Took wheel off, could not find any play. Removed anti-roll bar tie rod and that was OK.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Regards
    Brian

Could also be top-mount/suspension strut bearing

My steering bump stops dry out and get quite noisy as I approach full lock. Sounds hideous at times (grinding/metallic sound) but quiet again once greased.

My first thought if tie bar and bushes are fine would be the C.v. joint as mentioned earlier, however if its not a clicking noise probably top suspension mount. Someone on here is I'd say right

    Many thanks for the replies.

Its not a constant clicking, more like a wobbly slight clonking noise on 3/4 lock.
Sounds are very difficult to describe.

Could be top mount, CV joint or something else.

Will monitor the problem and advise.

    Regards
    Brian
