new everything would not go smooth, put the new ecu in, and my engine revs were going up and down turned engine off and reinstalled the chip and restarted the car everything looked ok then the engine management light came on, so reset the fault codes and went for a drive car was pulling well was impressed with the results then the engine management light came back on, re read the fault codes and got a....5-1-4...cooling fan faulty at half speed......and a 5-3-2...this is not listed in my haynes manual anybody able to help please

I'm no expert, but it sounds to me as though the ECU is faulty mate.

yes you were right it was a faulty ecu sent mine away to be chipped all good now cheers
