i haven't got my pics on this computer but all you have to do to fit a catch tank is remove the thick PCV pipe going to the air intake pipe (you'll find it just in front on the turbo, got a smaller pipe next to it) & place that into the catch tank. Block off the hole in the intake & run another pipe from the catch tank to somewhere underneath the car out the way

ah sorry mate, mines mounted on the ABS ECU bracket. I removed the the ECU (3 torq screws), drilled the holes & bolted it from the back then put the ECU back in (there is a bit of a gap for the bolt heads). Think with everything standard you should still have room for it there

Cheers Niles, do you vent the second pipe to air or back over by the inlet manifold?

I've changed it since the piccys, its now vented to atmosphere & I changed the pipes as the rubber 1's disintegrated very quickly. I switched them to silicon hoses.

Niles, is your pipe just left to dangle? Or have you routed it right to ground (as it were)

Having a catch tank gets rid of all the PCV system, instead of re routing all the fumes and crap out of the oil system back into the engine to be burnt, you vent it into a catch tank. This has the main benefit of helping combustion and performance as your not trying to burn all that nasty crap coming out of the engine, the only down side is that you have to empty a catch tank periodicaly,

i guess it a compromise thing which is why no-one fits them, think quite a few normal customers would be put off by having to empty a tank of oil & goo every month or so

If you plumb it as Niles has then you will not get an oil smell and still be road legal. He has his full PCV system with the catch tank added.

You mean with the catch tank in-line, and not open to atmosphere?

Do you have any probs with the filter getting gunked? and do you get any smells inside the car?

teeny smell. Its not a problem. The filter lasts 6-8 weeks, then give it a good rinse & its happy again.
