    yeh, M56H. They also do a M56L which has a lower ratio on 1st & 2nd for smaller engined 850's

    so an M56L would be beneficial to drag racing then? you'd deffo hit 4th with time to boost surely?

    i think the lower ratios would be wasted in a T-5, it would just spin the tyres up easier. If you could guarantee the grip & wanted to lower the ratios i think sticking with the M56H but using a final drive from a B5204S engined car as it would lower the ratio of the whole gearbox not just 1st & 2nd. The B5204S has a final drive ratio of 4.45:1 while all other models have a ratio of 4.00:1

    despite the fact i'm in bed & should be sleeping, i got bored & ran some numbers thru a simulator to see what it came out with. I've entered my own tyre size (215/35/18) & the rpm limiter at 7k & it gave out some interesting figures

    Max speeds

    M56L with 4.00:1 final drive
    1st = 37mph
    2nd = 66mph
    3rd = 105mph
    4th = 143mph
    5th = 178mph

    M56H with 4.00:1 final drive (standard T-5)
    1st = 41mph
    2nd = 70mph
    3rd = 105mph
    4th = 143mph
    5th = 178mph

    M56L with 4.45:1 final drive
    1st = 33mph
    2nd = 59mph
    3rd = 94mph
    4th = 129mph
    5th = 160mph

    M56H with 4.45:1 final drive
    1st = 36mph
    2nd = 63mph
    3rd = 94mph
    4th = 129mph
    5th = 160mph
