i'll give them a go mate, from what i've read its very easy. Not sure about the bulb failure warning tho mate, after having BT for so long i'm quite good at ignoring warning bulbs messages tho so not too bothered lol

i might need your help/contacts anyway as Bonny has got the DRL's currently on & i want the auto-locking turning on

yeh sure i've seen the pics of yours, the only difference i've spotted is i'm sure you've got alloy trim while i've got wood look on the doors & glovebox. I paid the same for my D5, but she's got 147.000 miles lol

she's going well so far mate, except i keep running out of fuel becuase i keep over estimating how much is left lol, & the clutch switch playing up for the cruise control

certainly alot better than any thing else i was looking at for the money

oh definiatley, if they can do 18's from the factory a bit more compromise on the ride quality won't hurt. I'm sure Tomcat had 19's on his old S60, Fox R4's same i've got on BT (BT will be going onto some special 19's as well once i've got some pennies spare)

thanks, i do think i got a bit of a lucky bargain tbh. Its good enough to get my old man thinking of a S60 to replace his 9-3 Aero, & he's been a Saab man since i can remember

my HID's turned up this morning, took less than a week to get delivered from Hong Kong & only cost £33. Being impatient i had to try one but going to fit them properly over the weekend

can you guess which side is the HID?

have you had any problem with Blub out failure ? , with your hids

Mine was ok, for 10 mins then popped up on display. Bought hids "bulb out " warning cancellers, didn't work then followed Storm-troll's suggestion, and all is ok

what ones did you get, I'm thinking of another set for C70 and wifes Cmax (both H7)

Congrats on the new ride fella, and the HID's are going to be a vast improvement over the standard halo's.

As for turning the DRLs and the auto lock on or off and other stuff, it might be worth seeing if anyone knows a diagnostics tech who can give a good deal. Maybe if people have somethings to query, you could organise a day place to perform on multiple cars, the more the cheaper, but only if the diag guy has a wicked rep and he has the volvo bluetooth tech.

Duane, 19's man, you are always pushing the boundaries, will look wicked if you get them... oh but wait wht about the ride height... unfortunately when does it end.... thats right it never does, just like a home, always something to do.

been out & fitted the HID's, the only problem i had was i hadn't got a 25mm drill for the dust covers so i just left them off. The bulb retaining clips had to be fulled removed to get the wiring in, bit fiddly but not exactly hard to do. Just need it to go dark out now lol

the drivers side ballast unit i screwed to the ECU box, make sure the wires are well out of the way of the aux belt which is quite close

you can't see it very well (camera phone), but i fitted the passenger side ballast unit to one of the radiator cowling bolts

altho i've only checked that there working i hasn't brought a bulb failure light on yet, & they light up on as DRL's so might just leave it how it is. I'll just drill the shunt if it does bring a light eventually
