    live mapping my T5

Well, after a lot of hours on the dyno, we finally perfected the mapping on my T5, and the results are awesome!!!

We Live mapped it using a ecu emulator specificlly to my car,due to the extensive non-standard parts on it, (19t, blue injectors, massive FMIC, etc, etc, etc) and the results are below.

    296.5 flywheel bhp
    239.5 bhp @ wheels
with 266.7 pounds of torque, All at 6240 RPM
And a steady 1 Bar of boost

Needless to say, it flies, but its a right handful in this wet weather, with the boost coming in really strong at about 2300 rpm, woo hoo, hold on!!!! we did have it upto 303bhp, when the tuning cell was colder, but it avarged out at 296.5, which is well enough for me!

Chris has done an amazing job with the car (www.bhptuner.co.uk) and can custom live map any vehicle to your specific requirements.

Give me a shout if your interested in getting your car mapped, as i can reccomend him 100%, my car is awesome and i love it!!!!

Good job the only thing that confuses me is the results as your getting really big transmition losses for at the wheels bhp and on the same dyno didnt lee camerons make more whp at 257 i think his sig says also at the rolling road in manchester tomcats car produced over 260 at the wheels.

Lee`s was 257@ fly, plus is a little awkward to measue as its an auto, he told me he had loads and loads of hassle at awesome getting a true figure and also awesome use a dyno dynamics dyno i believe, and their figures should be taken with a "pinch of salt", as they cant measure transmission losses and wheel bhp at all and to quote them its "just a guess"!!!!.
The Maha lps 3000 is the most up to date and accurate dyno on the market at the moment, with more accuracy than any other on the market. Also its quite commonly known that dyno dynamics figures can be manipulated to show more bhp, the MAHA cannot, and is 100% reliable

Its impossible to get anywhere near 300 flywheel bhp with just a re-map on a standard T5 engine, anyone who tells you otherwise is either a stupid or filling you full of s**t.
To get to near 300, my T5 has a 19T turbo, 3" IPD down pipe with a race cat, to a 3" milltek system, a massive FMIC, blue injectors, a walbro 225 fuel pump, an apexi super power intake with a BSR cold air feed, irridium plugs and magnecor competition leads, along with the custom mapping, in other words, a lot of cash and parts, anybody who tells you they hane got near to that with minimal outlay are talking s**t, and need to provide proof.

    hopr this helps

    Oi Ladies

Dont be using me to argue with

    270bhp may be manual

Im more than happy ( for the minute anyway ) with the 257bhp from where ever it comes from, i really dont care, it feels quick, it doesnt break down, and its getting a couple of wee toys to cope with the extra GG's under the hood next week.

I reckon a rise of 35bhp for £150 is a good deal, if it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it im happy.

296 bhp Craig thats mint matey

Its cost a few quid and taken some time but good to see you got it sorted
