    Smile Legal speed

Had the opportunity to really test the T5 today. As my signature says,HLM280and mbc. Disused airfield with a couple of miles of open straight. What a blast, saw just over 155 on the dash before I had to brake. Was still building. Happy days!!

    nice
havent had mine that fast, just happy with the mid range punch
    60 - 90 takes no time LOL
had my 3.0 E36 M3 up past 160 tho as the 3.0's weren't restricted to 155mph like the 3.2 EVO's are (on the autobahn of course), still have cars flying past you at those speeds LOL

Well at least you got the chance to test the performance of your car in a safe and controlled environment, there are some people, or should I say one brain cell #uckwits who think it is acceptable to do it on public roads,

The most i've had out of mine was 151 mph and that was on 17" wheels and standard. The GPS said 146mph though.

Using my own sat-nav it seems the speedo on these generally over-read by 5mph. Good news is that it appears to be linear so even at big speed only 5mph out..

155mph sounds good, but don't forget a standard T5 was able to do 149 mph according to Auto express, but then I guess that was probably over a longer stretch of road with more room for braking. Shows how much more power is required to do another 6 mph. Probably why the motor racing developement costs so much...
