Advice on installation ? Yes, from what I've heard, get somebody else to do the wishbone bushes. They're a real pain as far as I've heard.

I heard that V70Torslanda (John) does exchange wishbones already bushed, although not sure what bushes are on there. John, if you're reading, can you let me know what this scheme is and how much it costs ?

The wishbones are easy if you have the use of a vice, once the old ones are drilled/chisled out the new poly ones just push straight in, just make sure you use the grease supplied as it makes fitting them a hell of a lot easier.

Sorry, yes, fitting the new ones is probably straightfoward, it's getting the old ones drilled/chisled out that's the pain (so I've heard).

i have a dremel and a vice so hopefully, fingers crossed it will not be too difficult to remove old bushes, just been reading some of the writeup in the how-to section and they are really good.

    thanks for info though.

Hi Chris. It's a long time since I logged in I'm afraid.

Yes I do refurbished wishbones, as a matter of fact I'm in progress with some right now and they should be finished tonight. As Dave Stew will tell you, having a pair of wishbones on hand speeds the job up considerably.

I'll post some pics (if I can remeber how!) a little later, K?

The best things to use when changing the bushes is drill chistle of axesaw blade
once out get some copper slip if there a really tight fit shamfer around the end of the poly bushes so the start to fit in after that either use the vice or a head bolt with some big washers in.
With the right tools there easy with out they can be a pain

When I said last week that I was finishing a set I grossly overestimated the demands placed on me by work, family and sick relatives.

Not to mention the difficulties of working in a shed with no power. But, finally, I should have a set finished this weekend.

Photos to follow as and when.

Ok, i have fitted all the bushes apart from right wishbone and front upper small mount. i can tell the difference alot. however the vibrations are awful. the wishbones didnt cause much difference (in vibration). the lower transmision/subframe mount and upper large mount i changed in the same go, and now the vibrations are imbearable. the whole car feels like a plane when it landing. is this normal when new? how long does it take to 'settle' in? the vibrations are almost gone at 1500 revs onwards.
