    Brodit powered mount

I am looking to add a Brodit powered bracket for my Tom Tom where the existing ancient Nokia CARK sits on the dash. This is what I'm after: http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodi...03rd%20Edition

Would it be possible to use the power feed from the old Nokia CARK mount to power the new Brodit bracket?

Or am I being daft and need an auto electrician?

Looks like a power adapter is included, if I read the description correctly...

Ah, do you mean you don't want to rip out the existing power cable, but rather use it for the new device ?

It's possible of course, but you'd need to see what you get in the new package before being able to decide.

Yes, that's what I meant... Aren't these modern CAN BUS wired cars a bit of a sod, chucking up fault codes and the like if you interfere with them? Did you do your Acer yourself?

Yes, did it myself - things like this are only 12v power supply cabling - it doesn't link into the car in any other way.
