Normally the r suspension is lower than the t5 suspension and i think the brakes are bigger and for the running gear do you mean drive shafts as they should be the same

The "R" versions are 20mm lower that the T5 versions. 1390mm as apposed to 1410mm.

I had R shocks and springs on my first T5 and they were a straight swap

wouldnt the R shox be shorter to compensate for the lower height in the spring ?
