Ditch it and look at your Tom Tom!
Yeah I know. I always like to presume the sat nav is more accurate providing the method used to calculate it is sound (which it is...). Interestingly, the speed readout via OBDII match's the sat nav's exactly, and the speedo read higher, so I'm inclined go be pretty sure my speedo is out.
It reads 77 MPH when the other two read 70, so 10% above (this is true across the speed range, all the way up to 136 (on my private airstrip)).
My last one was 4 mph out at 160! my phase 2 seems about 3 mph out at 30 going by those things that are popping up as I sold my gps, its an in buillt safety messure, but if you reset the average speed at say 80 mph on cruise it will give you a lower more accurate average speed!

I should think the average is also derived from the ECU/OBDII but that's another way of confirming it - good thinking WEEOO.

I set my cruise to 79 on the sat nav at the speedo says 85.
I'd rather have it read over than under, but I'd rather have it read correctly than over...
Speedos all read higher by default.
Looks that way...
get a plod! They are spot on

Bl00dy h3ll just round the corner!
You can alter the speedo readout to match the OBD11 using a VCT2000.
