    partsforvolvosonline.com

    Hi all.
Has anyone ever fitted Sachs OEM oil filled front Shocks from partsforvolvosonline.com ?
I need to fit some new no frills shocks to my S70 T5. I dont want to spend a fortune and at £52 each they seem a very good price.
Has anyone had anything to do with these make of shocks before?
    Thanks.
    Mark.

On my old 106 (cheap day to day drive when I ran my R) I fitted OEM Sachs/Boge. Did the job very well. Don't think you'll go far wrong. Whatever happens if your old ones are shot these will be way better anyway.

I brought some sachs from there for my v70 about 2 years ago. No probs what so ever, and my mechanic said that they were a good make.

Euro Car Parts do Bilstein B4 Gas Shocks for £59 plus VAT each (part number625661235) , which maybe better than the oil filled ones. I have fitted the B4s to my V70R and they are very good.

Don't forget to replace your strut mounts / spring seats at the same time.

Just a quick update on the front shocks.
Fitted at pair of SACHS front shocks yesterday and what a difference they have made!
    Old ones were totaly shagged!
Not too bad to fit either, 3 1/2 hours at home on the floor with no air tools.
Also fitted new top mounts too.
Just like to say what a great service from Parts for volvo online. Arrived 2 days after ordering and at a good price.
I will defo be using them in future for more parts.

Just don't ask for help when they send you the wrong parts, they don't give a ****.

I've used PFV on loads of occasions and I've always been very impressed with their service.

Pick what your buying off them carefully as regards who makes it and their fine, only problem i have with them is they peddle a certain brand which they give the impression is of OE quality and is made in sweden, both being far from the truth, however if your buying parts from a known quality source such as say goodridge you should be ok

I always try to buy the best quality parts where I can, and prefer to go for Volvo genuine if possible. However, for things like wiper blades and the like, PFV have been very good.

I've fitted some Bilstein B4 shocks (gas shocks) to the front of mine. Got them from GSF for around 60 quid each, they were from GSF, or Eurocarparts (can't remember now)
