    Remote Locking

My drivers door doesn't always lock when using the remote. The lock knob on the door goes down & then immediately comes up again. You have to then unlock & lock again to get it to stay down. All the other doors do lock. Any ideas ?

My car has this feature, it's ex-plod.

Basically it was designed to keep the crims in the back while mr plod gets back in the car.

Lock the car & wait about... 30 seconds? Should click back in on its own!

This is actually common fault with Phase 2 V70's.

If have have read right I don't think this is an ex-plod feature............

If you press and hold the button down when you get out, the others will lock ok. I don't think there is a definitive fix, but try a search on this forum.....

In saying that, my rear passenger side door has been poping open (unlocking) randomly for about the last two weeks, this may be an electrical issue, or a loose conector in the door.

Check to see if it will lock with the interior button, if not, it may need a reset of the electronics for the thing to work properly...

Try performing a reset of the UEM (Upper Electronic Module), this controls the door locks and window operation:

    - Close all of the doors and bonnet.
    - Key in position II engine not running.
    - Hold both the driver window and passenger window switches in the driver door panel in the closed or up position for 5 to 8 seconds after the windows are closed.
    - Release buttons.
    - Remove the ignition key.
    - Operated the remote twice. lock/unlock lock/unlock.

This will reset the UEM brain. This can correct faulty operation of the sunroof and/or erratic door lock function.

this came off a post by S60-MBS (my thanks!)

I may try this myself... fix a few issues again!
