S70 sub-aerial: Location, Part Number, Any Information?

Need some info on this...all I know is that it should be on the rear window looking like a defroster filament but that's it. My SC-900 HU has crap FM reception right now and I think it's because I only have a single antenna input.

If any of you have one and can post a picture I would really appreciate it!

On this diagram it's part number 16/9, I think. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index...e=post&id=4616

    Thanks in advance!

that link doesn't work as you have to log in so have you got a direct link to the image instead so i can see what your referring to here. I'm not quite sure i follow you, as only the estate cars had aerials in the glass (rear side window, looked like a defrost element as you say). the s70's did not have this.

I know that you can get an aerial amplifier unit, pn 3533821, retails around £80 approx, though you need the 'Diversity' system to use this, i'm unsure of which models had this, or which radios are compatible, or even how good it is, but that's the part number and price of the amplifier unit.

Thanks Simon, yes, I'm talking about the diversity system as I just purchased an SC-900 from a C70 which had two aerials and now in my S70 (with only the electric aerial) the FM reception is awful. I have purchased the amplifier, now I have to figure out where it connects to.

Here is what I'm referring to:

IIRC the secondary aerial on a C70 is mounted in the front bumper.
