Do you know how much pressure the standard recirculating valve (RCV) will handle - just had a remap and boost map has been raised from standard + 0.28 - 0.3 bar but its not holding boost on hard acceleration - part throttle its fine and you can feel it holding pressure - have changed the RCV but not sure if it will hold 1 bar pressure without going to an external RCV

I think around 1.2 to 1.25 bar (17-18psi) but don't quote me! Only going on my map which is a 304 on a P1 V70 and boosts to that level. Very nice it is too

Can you get a boost gauge for a phase 2 ?
I would imagine only an aftermarket one Chris. I bought mine from RSpec along with a mounting pod. Works fine but not everyone wants a gauge pod sat on the dash!

I'll have a look around. All I've seen so far are for Phase 1's - even aftermaket ones.
aftermarket gauges are universal, they can be fitted to anything. Its just a case of plumbing it in (& where)
Does that include the mouting pod ? For example, would the mounting pod supplied with a gauge say for an 850 fit neatly in my Phase 2 ? I like the ones that fit to the windscreen upright on the drivers side...

no the mounts aren't mate, the one you link to is a universal one but needs cutting & trimming to get it to the right shape. I used to have pillar mounts but used to get so much glare it was almost useless
you could blank off your knackered cup holder & put the gauge in there next to the radio?

Yes, I would think so mate. Pretty sure most of those mounts are universal, just make sure the the pod is the correct diameter for the gauge (sorry, that's pretty obvious isn't it?!). I looked for a beige A-pillar pod to match my interior, but couldn't find one. I guess you could get one and paint it to suit.
The A-pillar mount is nice and tidy- it's on my list of jobs to be done ie reposition the gauge on top of the dash to said A-pillar. I was in a hurry to fit the gauge at the time!

Cheers chaps. Where did you get those gauges from Pedro ? I'm not too concerned for it to be a digital one, but want it to look nice. It has to be backlit though, so I'm hoping for a similar light scheme to whats already in my phase 2.

Final question then; The turbo gauges of old used to have a vac pipe all the way to the gauge - can you get electronic ones now with a 'sender', so that you only have relatively thin cabling to the gauge ?

i got mine from the local car shop, but you can get them from fleabay (link)
