Ok i have some pictures of the S40 now. Its the volvo engine not the GDI and its done 122k.

From what i have read there are no problems worth mentionning with the 1.8 volvo engine. But i am still unsure lol.

TBH, I would only be serious about that car if : a) You really need to save running costs
    b) The seller allows you to have the lpg system tested or it comes full full certification and service history for the LPG itself. My thinking is, if it's defective in anyway, it'll cost you to sort it out, and in the mean time you've swapped your pride and joy for a 1.8 S40.
If both of the above apply, and you're happy with the deal, go for it, selling anything remotely performance oriented, let alone a modded T5, will be difficult and very to get 1/2 sensible money on.
Good luck, it is a smart looking car, but only you know how tight finances are going to be, and how much you want to change car.

i say avoid, 120k on a slightly chaved low powered 4 pot (imagine how much its been rung). these engines do not have the durability of the 5 pots.

if it was a stock sub 100k car then yes.

you could do alot better in my opinion.

I have declined the swap with the s40. However i have been given a 1999 Astra Estate for free so i have someone coming on saturday to look at the T5 for £1250 cash. Which i have no problems with.
