Help. 850 t5 will not idle. Cuts out..

Hi. As in title.
My friends 850 t5r will not idle it starts o.k. but then dies unless you keep the revs up. He has changed the idle speed control valve but has made no differance.
Any advice please.

try MAF, that used to cause that problem on my old fiesta, might be worth a try

Id say MAF too

Remeber, if there is a CEL light, this will need clearing and start car, turn off start car to for the ECU to realise its changed.

Mine was doing this when i blew the intercooler into pieces soif its not the maf check for leaks

just on the off chance, check your troddle body. had problem with A6 2.8 30v quattro not idleing. cleaned troddle body and worked fine. but I could be as far out as a light house?
