    Replacement panel air filters

Anyone replaced the standard Volvo panel air filter with a non genuine type, and if so, what did you choose.

Would a non genuine filter require any remapping or adjustments to be made.

Don't want a cone type filter.

JR panel filter. Direct replacement for the Volvo paper job. No adjustment to mapping etc required.

Had mine in for over 18 months and it's great (I actually had it out of the car about 20 mins ago and is still in excellent condition).

ITG and PiperCross are all excellent direct replacements.

To my knowledge there is no need to change the map.

I have a Weber panel filter in mine. Direct replacement, and it gives (allegedly) slightly better performance.
    Thankyou, Goodnight....much love

    BMC panel filter here.

I guess they're all much the same.

TBH I dont think there's not a lot in it - other than they are better than the standard paper filter - just like a dyson vs a hoover - no loss of suction.
