i certainly hope not because i've removed all the internal reinforcements on the bumper as well

Think the nudge bar thing was down to the year of the car, ie when the nudge bar ban was brought in think if your car was built afterwards and one was put on then that was why it failed, something like that.......Tell the mot testers you have had the car from new and thats how the dealer sent it to you, said it was a special edition....LOL

not the most exciting update, but bolted the windows in.

ah & there is another thing, i adjusted the bonnet pins (well almost). I know your not going to believe me, but the front pins were bolted using 17mm nuts while the rears were 19mm, & i hadn't got 2 x 19mm spanners so couldn't undo then to lower the rears down

so chav look remains for a bit longer

i had used the perforated strip to secure the ends of the front bumper, but wasn't happy it was strong enough so thought "sod it" & used the extra bonnet pins i'd got spare. Got to get some recess plates (like on the bonnet) to flush them in, then i'll probably do the same on the rear bumper

not much visual progress over the weekend but have got alot of parts sourced, high-current relay & holder for the power steering has turned up, bulk order of splice connectors for the wiring, MEGA MEGA thanks to si850r for all the cable ties, got a tin of satin black to do the bonnet, got the L-section to strengthen the rear bulkhead. Plus i've ordered a new battery cut-off switch, recess plates for the bumper supports & ordered the bits to convert to wheel studs

also treated Mr Angle Grinder to this
