New Custom CAT back **Vid added**

    Hey all,

Here are pics as promised in my other "help" thread from yesterday when i had my cat back s/s fitted.

Big thanks to LTC exhausts in west mids for the cracking job and price, highly recommend http://www.ltctyres.co.uk/

    Anyway pics.

Here she is on the ramp before the works start:

He cut the old system out, leaving a small section of pipe out the cat and clamped the new pipe around:

This is the join in the pipe further to the rear of the car:

He made some new brackets to support where the centre box used to be:

    Resulting in this overall:

The size of the rear box (tiny!):

Trial fitting different pipes (this is where my mate came in handy haha):

Wanted something that filled the recess:

    And the end result:

The pipe may be a bit OTT but i think it suits the car.

I will be doing some drive-by vids and stuff soon so will get them up asap, but for £180 i really can't grumble!

    Cheers all

    Dan

Did the pipework get bent on site by the company? What size did they say that they can bend pipe up to if they did (if you asked)?

That looks like a bit of a bargain,
How loud is it at motorway speeds?
Think i would have gone for a slightly larger silencer and i liked the oval tailpipe.
Did they say anything about cutting out and reflanging the cat so that you could run a decat pipe?.
Think that is the route i want to go down as i want it to be removable and to be able to refit come MOT time.
Obviously depending on price i might just end up buying a 3" downpipe instead...

Alan, Pipework is all bent on site, took him about 3 and a half hours to do the whole job. As for the size of which they bend too im not sure, give them a call they are a very friendly bunch.

Tandino, it does drone a bit on motorway, but personally that doesn't bother me as im rarely on motorway for long distance, but i imagine it would wear thin.

He did ask if i wanted to de-cat, but i didn't, so as for the options regarding that im not sure pal sorry

This company is fairly local to me so I will give them a call Monday to find out if they can bend 3" sections that I can weld myself. I'm happy you enjoy the system you bought.

    Cheers Alan,

They had a lot of varying sizes of pipe in the rack, some massive stuff so no doubt they would be able too.
