    My Mums Focus

Now the last time I even touched the Focus with intent to clean it was...

    http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=56006

    Yep... Jan 2008

Now I have a day off today and had nothing to do this morning so I looked at it this morning and I could see the car looking misrible so I though... bugger it time to clean its socks off!

So this is how it looked after not being cleaned for 11 Months...

So I put 0.5cm of APC in my superspray follwed by an inch of shampoo plus...

The wheels were soaked in Autoglyms engine degreaser and the car foamed...

I scrubbed the tyres with some APC...

And washed off the wheels, I didnt have time to agitate anything so they just had to stay the way they were.

Anyway the car looked like this after it's prewash...

And the front of the house looked like this...

I washed the car down using the TBM and Shampoo plus with some apc chucked it, dryed it and worked some plastx into the shiny blak trim on the focus which has oxidised...

    50/50...

    Done...

    Before...

    PlastX Applied...

    50/50...

Then the exhaust was done, megs NXT with some 00# wire wool which wasen't shifting the dirt so used some fine sandpaper!...

    Before...

    After...

Then the textured parts of the car had to be done...
I decided to use a thin coat of autobalm buffed in well...

    Before...

    20/80...

Once I done this I went around the car with some SRP... then Megs #7 Glaze and a coat of megs NXT wax.
Now Im a member of a car club called Torque Wales but don't frequent it much any more so I removed the stickers off the car with a stanley knife blade...

The windows then cleaned with some stuff I found in the house

While buffing off the Megs NXT I couldnt belive how well the car came up and had to get a quick shot...

So carried on around the car and I was very impressed... So afters...

Man I wish I had that much time on my hands. Oh to be young, single and with no children. Good job though. Theres a dirty T5 in York for you when you want to wash something else. haha. Your Mum's a lot better off than mine was when I was your age. I could "clean" her car in about 5 minutes, using only Fairy Liquid and a scourer pad. haha.
