    Servicing & Cambelt costs?

My V70 T5 is going in for its yearly service on Wednesday, also as Im unsure if its been done already, I have requestad a cambelt change. Whats the going rate for these? Service is £357. Cambelt is £227 fitted. That seemed expensive to me although I got £30 knocked off because I moaned at the cost!

We charge in the region of £350 plus Vat for a full service and cambelt/tensioner change or £150 plus Vat for a cambelt/tensioner change only.

£150 plus VAT sounds about right but you would be well advised to have your waterpump changed at the same time, as it is a cambelt off job if this fails.

I pay £100 for a full service, coz I'm lucky I'm mates with the mechanic, who just happens to be the owners son, and a cambelt with water pump, would set me back about £150. But like I said, that's lucky ol' me, at mates rates minus 50%, but at least you know the minium price, unless you do it yourself, which aint impossible, if you use a haynes manual, and a set of spanners in the right fashion.... The only thing you miss out on by DIY'in it is a service stamp (which is why I don't do em lol @ mr contradiction)
