Hi. I got myself some V70 rear lamp units from a 1999 car with clear indicactors. I have read on here how easy it is to do the job of changing them.
Well I done it in the end. I just thought I would mention the problems I came across. The first thing is the right tools. You will need an 8mm deep socket on 1/4 inch drive with some extension bars. Also be carfull when you pull back the plastic surround on the inner panels I have cracked one a bit pulling it back (doh) You have to use V70 bulb holders so make sure they come with the lamps (orange indicator different pins on bulb) and the connector that pushes into the back of the bulb holder has an extra little lip on it on the 850. I just cut it off with some snips.
It must have taken me about an hour and a half to do the first side and 15 mins to do the other side ( LOL).......
Anyway well worth doing its taken years of the car they look great. The old lamps were all fadded and dull. Also make sure you fit the bottom ones first not the top like I did there is an over lap on the upper lamp so you cant put the bottom ones on if the top are fitted. (another doh)
Thanks Mark.......
