    Red face Scrubbed up

Spent a while giving my car a thorough clean today, good to be reminded how clean it is now all the salts gone, still cant find a mark onit

Anyone know of a decent blackening product for all the exterior plastic trim?

and i think those rear mudflaps have to go.

will give it a wax next weekend as that hasn't been done in nearly 6 months.

For the plastic trim use Wurth bumper dye.
There's a thread up now about it.

It does look far better in the sun, goes almost orange, will get some pics next weekend once its polished. From the angle of the third picture i don't like the mudflaps, or the way the rear whees sits so deep into the arch. Hope some 17's will sort that. If not will have to grab some spacers.

Looks nice,a real clean example.I like the grille but think the horns could do with re-locating.

You might need to grab some spacers then as the 17's still sit well inside the arch. I think you should keep the mudflaps though

This is what mine looks like with the 17" Volan's which are 7.5 J might be worth seeing if you can get some wider 17's rather than using spacers

    that looks tight m8,
I've had my on a set for a while now, only thing is that there only 7J width, which i assume is the same as my columbo's?

I'm gonna keep the front flaps to help protect the paint work, but i like the look of bare wheels from the back, so will take the rears off tomoz and see how it looks.

also got a Touring style splitter on the way which i'm going to try in black, will post pics once its done.

Black splitter should look smart and will match the lower section of your rear bumper which I noticed isn't colour coded

yep your right mate, altho shortly after i'm going to replace the lower rear valence with this as well as the spoiler in the pic....

which i will have colour coded, but to keep the black theme going am gonna leave the bumper tops as they are and have the top lip section of the boot spoiler black along with some window tints that i have booked in for the 4th (getting discount as hes doing my other halfs car aswell)
its all time and money but it should be done within 8 weeks or so. touch wood.

i dont like the painted top part of the bumper, the silly thing on the rear window or the sideskirts. I think it wont look as loud in a darker color, but each to their own i guess.....

Not a fan of the lower splitter on that car but will see how it looks on yours. The R style boot spoiler tip was always non body coloured from the factory although not black more grey, just not very obvious on mine because of the colour of the car

A bit like the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth boot spoiler which is what I fitted to my old Orion
