well the answer is...no the V70 AWD doesnt like to boost above about 5psi, so i plumbed an MBC between the BCS and the actuator and now it spikes to 11ish, and settles at 10psi so im happy for now.

I forgot how quick these bricks are tbh, and i couldnt help grining like a child when i gave it a bit of death on the coast road, the only dissapointment (more of a surprise) was that going up a very long hill (sitting dead on 10psi in 4th, WOT) i experienced what i think was fuel cut, a sudden jolt, this was after about 6 to 7 seconds of constant boost, and tbh i thought it wouldnt be an issue at 10 psi?

Thinking my boost guage (plumbed into the factory vac line under the dash) might not be reading right, i plumbed another direct to the vac tree, and its definately spot on 10 psi...?

It only happened the once, hmmm, maybe i just hit a cat? haha

Well, the heater hoses are fixed, replaced the actuator:

and i am just waiting for the test date to come back now

I have bought another 850 estate with a blown up engine that i will collect next week, the shell is entirely rot free, so gonna rob the front wings and arch liners, bonnet, and drivers door to replace mine.

I also noticed the other day that the drivers heated seat doesnt seem to be working anymore, so thats another thing to investigate! it never ends....

Well....had its test this morning....didnt pass...at least ive got a hit list now:

    Headlamp Aim incorrect

o/s indicator inoperative (this works, so not sure what hes talking about?)

both rear indicator bulbs pale (need orange bulds as ive fitted v70 lenses)

    o/s track rod end loose

wheel allignment and steering geometry needs to be checked

ABS lamp remains lit (this is due to the ignition barrel)

n/s parking brake low effort (will check this out today)

n/s/r seatbelt receiver faulty (will try and track dow a replacement)

excessive oil on underside of car suggests major oil leak (this is from when it lost all its oil originally (turbo seal), ill get it steam cleaned)

and thats it, so nothing major moneywise !

well, sorted out the track rod end today, and also moved the boot lid latch back a shade to stop the tailgate vibrating

towed home another 850 2.5 SE that i bought to use for spares, to be honest its absolutey mint, and i feel bad breaking it, but its head gasket went just after the bloke taxed it, so hes sent the log book in as scrapped, and claimed the tax back...

    tragic
