    Speed sensor wire... location?

    Hey

Just wondering if anybody knew where I can tap into the speed sensor wire on my 855 T5.

It's for connecting my sat nav stereo.

My car is pre '96 ie not obdII.

I guess there is one that goes to my dash clock's as they are not cable driven.

    thanks in advance

    shaun

    Hi Doon,

On my Maroon 850, remember when I had the gearbox done? Some gearboxes have the speed sensor attached to the underside of the box itself and is read that way, you might need to check it out, cos later models don't, mine was a 95 so I think it's 97 on that are different.

Just found this on a site as well:

850 Engine speed(rpm) sensor is located on rear of engine above the bellhousing:

    Hope this helps mate.

    speed sensor

I think there's already a speed sensor wire attached to the stereo for the factory system (connector B7) its for the speed related volume control
