    Help please Anyone

    Hello

    Happy New Year everyone

    I have got a 1999 S40 T4se

When I accelerate it coughs and splutters. Lift of the gas and it settles.
It will sit at 70-80mph comfortably then all of a sudden lose power and cough and splutter.

    I have replaced

    Injectors
    Air Flow Meter
    Coils
    Spark plugs
    Idle control valve
    Fuel rail

Now car runs 99% better with the Traction control TURNED OFF?

    Anyone?

    Help GREATLY Needed

    Slo

Some cars don't seem to like the remap with the TRACS on mate. There are some which run fine (like mine) and some that really hate it.

Only other thing to check is the fuel pump mate.

    Air filter?
    Like a panel filter?
Never seen that before....even a standard paper filter will be fine for 300bhp.
    How strange.
Unless of course it's an induction kit....loose hose maybe?

Well then it sounds like the computer gizmo that controls the traction control has gone wrong. Maybe it keeps trying to override you. Wheel sensor maybe ?

Cant you get the codes read and see what faults if any its showing ?

try resetting the traction control chap - it's in the owners manual (sold mine now so can't get it for you)

its something like, quickly get to 40mph and brake, repeat, and stop.. it should reset system (you do it when you fit different wheels / spare etc)

    hope this helps.
