i'm just stunned that you can get that much technology for that little money.

i was going to say its gonna be cr@p at that price, but i'm still picking my jaw up off the floor to be honest

it's a fantastic price for alot of goodies just not sure about the quality of the unit as there are quiet a few on flea bay at the mo just makes it hard to choose. hardly any say if they have iso plugs on which would mean another £100 for an auto elec to fit it and put iso plugs on

Screen res is poor. Will be ok for dvd but no good for reading text and stuff.

It will probably be ok for the money, just dont expect a £1500 system.

It's got a loom that you can see in the pics, although the chances of that actually having a plug on is minimal, does look like all the cables are labeled up though so adding an ISO plug shouldn't take all that much time and effort to fit.
I've always thought about a combined unit for satnav etc and always ended up going for the small portable ones owing to the potential danger of looking down at a screen when navigating round cities/towns etc.
Is it specifically sat nav included you were after?
I have a Kenwood DVD (single DIN) in my S40 I am thinking of taking out and selling that I would be willing to do a very good deal on if you are interested

Hi just to give my opinion on these i bought a single din one for another car and although 9 out of 10 features were very good the one i use the most (the radio) was absolutly rubbish kept trying to retune and woulnd not settle on a station even a strong signal like radio 1 or 2 but everything else like the dvd and bluetooth was excellent!

Personally, I'd save up & get a "known" brand double din units...

Some come with satnav, some don't, but all have solid warranties & some have bluetooth as standard.

I use a pioneer AVH-P4000DVD which you can pick up for £350!

A bluetooth add on can be bought for less than £100, but with all the available inputs... why bother!

I have one & it now handles my calls in the car! (result!)

Also an ipod cable can be had for £15 & that allows you to play movies direct off any video ipod!

Aux inputs allow any other stuff you want to have, I have a DBV TV tuner!

Also there is a reverse camera input with a trigger wire.

    Just a thought tho...

I agree with Badger - known Brand all the way!

It is the components you cannot see which make the difference to what you will end up seeing and hearing!

I have an ageing Alpine head unit in mine which works with my MP3 player in a roundabout sort of way but which provides excellent sound quality through an integrated 60W amplifier. I use a Snooper for the sat nav and speed cameras. OK, I cannot watch DVDs but would prefer to do this in the comfort of my living room or hotel room via my laptop.

Yep, get a known brand stereo, fit some uprated components then turn it up!

I've seen cheap ones break within 20 mins of being fitted!

Not a funny thing to watch... how fast can you get the smoking head unit out of the car!

Buy a good one, one that you would trust! Setting fire to a car is not worth it!

I treated meself to one of these

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIONEER-AVH-P4...1%7C240%3A1318

They cost around £1200 before being discontinued.

    Nice bit of kit though.

You do need a fitting kit which set me back an extra £40
