    Ice Warning light

You know the little red light on the dash that comes on when its 2 degrees or below, does it have a set range? Only, I got in the 850 this morning, the car was frozen, and it wasn't lit, turned the info switch, it came up -7!

Didn't think anything of it, drove down the for about 2 miles, on it came at -5

I'm just curious if others are the same.

It doesn't light below -6 because at that temperature you should KNOW that there's a risk of ice, and if it did that then all the Swedes would forever be driving around with the little orange light on

I'm off to the Finnish / Russian border in two weeks, I've asked for a Volvo hire car. Been there once before in the winter and it was minus 40! No little orange light for me

I noticed this too. It was minus 11 on the display yesterday morning on the way to work and no light was on. On the way home it was minus 3 and light was working.
