Question Reseting the Lambda Light OBD II

After a mad dash over to Lancaster the other day, The Friday before my old man passed, i was calming down to the usual 30mph when the Lambda light came on

It didnt bother me at first as i though hey ho pop the bonnet and use the Self Diagnostic unit to reset it

    EH NO !!!!!!!!!!!

Got home and realised i couldnt as it was the OBD II port instead

Is there a way of resetting it without going into the expense of a garage visit ?

Sorry if this is an old question, i have used the SEARCH facility but i cant find anything, probably not looking really

    Cheers guys

    Lee

I would sort the problems the code/s are indicating before trying bulb removal which is a definate no no imho. Fuel trim problems can cause codes to be thrown up with no apparant alteration in performance. The codes are thrown up for a reasonso it is best to sort them when they appear.

the bulb removal bit was meant to be a joke
but some cant afford to go running off to the dealers or specialists everytime the car throws a light up

    try this

un plug the lamber sensor clean the connectors, brake cleaner or WD40, and plug it back together, my lamber light came on after i drove through a ford, about a week later, the light went out about 1 hour after i cleaned the connector.
check all the hoses for a leaks as this is a common problem split hose.

Probably a air induction leak as you dropped speed...
I would remove the ECM overnight myself and expect the light will go out, or
follow the link from Wambatbom using either a LED or analog meter...., a digital meter will be too slow to delete the code...
A 2-3-x code would be my bet
    Cheers

just disconnect the battery for an hour, and light will be out, if fault is still there light will come back on. Just make sure you have radio code b4 disconnecting battery
