I have the full system on my 850. I have an angled outlet 16t so I could go for the larger angled downpipe. The weld quality is excellent on the joints and its fully mandrell bent in 304 stainless. Better Vband clamps are an additional item to be bought though although the ones in the pack work just as well. The system isn't to loud with a K&N panel filter in the standard air box but will get noisier with a cone filter. It can be loud at high revs on a motorway journey. If you do a search on this site you should find my video on the rollers and its not to loud there. I had to mod my heatshield between the downpipe and steering rack to stop my exhaust wrap being rubbed off the downpipe but its an easy job and I am happy with the finished product. I may have the cat back section up for sale next year though as I have loads of work on my car planned with a full 3 inch system in mind.

does this mean you still have the straight flange downpipe from the kit still?
and if so, do you want to sell it?

o2 sensor can still bolt in, but ur emissions will be over for mot level, answer is to swap your original downpipe/cat for mot time, or get a race cat welded in.

    heres a obx vid...

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q8Xrx3kbVA[/ame]

zoomungus, if you do order the obx system, do you know what type of downpipe you will need? as you get 2 with the kit, if you have the flat flange left over i'll buy it off you, will bring the cost down a bit.

Ah blondeness has gone! I watched the vid of the obx and its cool, great sound. The price is really good, its the postage thats the putting me off, its like 250 squid for the obx and then another 150 for postage? must be import tax too? 400 all in is still good. I looked at fleabay stateside and the obx is 345 dollars (220 squid roughly) so I will check on postage from there, I have an american PO box so import tax is not a problem. The only problem is the wifey, when I told her i was getting the t5 i got hassle, now shes been in it she wants it lol.

I have no idea which flange (i love that word) i need but if its my spare flange (that is such a good word) you need then we will sort something out.

Just because the Cat is removed doesnt necessarily mean you will fail the 'cat' emissions test.

That's making the assumption that it doesn't get stopped at Customs and a nice charge added by HMRC. They add 2 or 3 different duties if they spot the parcel:

    • Customs duty
    • Excise duty (not relevant here, only applied to booze & fags I think)
    • Import VAT

(oh, and the shipping company usually then charges you an extra fee for having to deal with the additional paperwork).
