To be honest I never let mine get below 40, I think once I had it to 35 miles left. This is only an estimate so you should never rely on it, it will depend on how you drive etc. If you've let the tank get really dry then possibly the sender in the tank has gotten stuck?, best to just fill it when you get chance and hope it comes free by itself.

    ,.,

i dont trust the gauges anyway lol,
i learnt from experience,my digi said i had 15 miles to go & i only needed to do 2 miles but it ran out, stopped about quarter mile from petrol station,on the motorway...wasnt impressed lol.
i dont even look at the needle, thats always low down in the guage lol.
my fuel light warning comes on at 45 miles to stop so i usualy put more in not long after the light comes on....oh & a tenner wont move the gauge much if you run it so low.....

nice one, fill er up asap
yeh thing is ive had lpg kit put on, so im doing my best to avoid the expense of petrol,
bloke that did the lpg said the kit was good for upto 500 bhp, {an b4 u say i know awd have weak transfer box} 300bhp would be fine, cars pretty much standard with just twin jetex exhaust, forge twin dv and k n panel filter, but in near future i plan to upgrade turbo cos current one is on way out with 120000m on it, maybe 16t with ecu remap, and some intrax suspension, possibly take a trip to european tuning in the netherlands, its gonna break the bank but hey i rekon there used to that lol,
    google european tuning

from past experiance i never let my petrol light come on. i keep mine at about 5 galons no lower.

i used to always drive my cars on low fuel and just put a tenner here and there in but in doing this i had to change my fuel lines as they had so much crap in from the bottm of the tank.

thats fine in the old days but most modern cars these days have filters in the tank, plus a filter in the fuel line so it dont do any harm if it does run low or run out..................in the old days of metal fuel tanks rust was an issue but all these modern motors have that plastic tanks.....it aint an issue
