Ground loop buzzing with IPOD Adapter (USASPEC)

    Hi Folks,

    Hope someone can help.

I've got a USASPEC Ipod adapter fitted to my 850 and I'm getting a buzzing (increases with engine revs). I've been told this ground loop interference. Bought a ground loop insulator(GLI) from Halfords, but havent a clue how to fit it.

Does anyone know how I can connect the GLI to elimate the buzzing?

The GLI has auxilary output cables (Red & White) which I assume are connected to the IPOD Adapter auxilary inputs (corresponding Red & White). But the GLI also has auxillary inputs (R&L) which has got me confused.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated

You most likely have a problem with your grounding at some point.

GLI are used inline with the audio source. the GLI you have connected will only ground the signal of the auxilary input going into your USA SPEC (i.e. cd6). adding a GLI to this will not affect the buzzing coming from the ipod sound.

Did you leave the 12V filter box connected or did you bypass this?
