c70 1998 air co probs and starting probs

I have now tried two specialists in the midlands and both seem unable to sort my issues
Starting Probs
When hot engine fails to restart within 1 minute of turning it off, several attemps and it starts

Air con Probs

I had the system re gassed and the compressor kicks in sometimes not all the time.
When cold swich air con on fans rev up and down and compressor doesnt kick in

Is there a garage in the midlands or in the country that is willing to sort this car out???
i have spent a lot of cash changing leads plugs sensors etc and its no better.
Is there a garage willing to replace only the items that fix the problem instead of making a living from trial and error

Starting Problems: You need to get the diagnostic error codes read to pinpoint the problem. It may well be a failed sensor.

Aircon: Could be a problem with a failed bearing in the compressor which is causing too much resistance. When you had the system regassed, did they put a dye in? The dye will pinpoint the source of any leaks which you might have if the problem is not electrical/mechanical. If there is no trace of the dye in the engine compartment and the compressor checks out the likely problem will be a leaking evaporator which is a dash out job.
