850 buying advice .... going to see 2

    hi all, first post here

im off to see my first 1996 T5 this afternoon. Its an auto which i prefer. It seems a little expensive for the mileage but judging by the pictures and FSH it could be a real nice one. The owner is very well spoken and elderly so it sounds as if its been extremely well looked after and sedately driven.

    1996 VOLVO 850 2.3 CD Turbo 5dr T5 Estate,
Petrol, 135,000 miles, . Auto. Black. This is the top of the range vehicle in beautiful condtion. Cream leather interior, heated seats. Electrically adjustable drivers seat. Estate pack. Luggage nets/cover. Roof rails, (Volvo locking bars available if required). Load compensating suspension. A/C. RDS radio/cd/cassette. Electric windows. 5 alloys. Full volvo s/h. Two new tyres. One years MOT. Free MOT for life from Volvo. Taxed. Excellent condition. £3,750 . ono.

the other one is a lot cheaper, 2750 but manual which im not so keen on but again teh owner sounds very trustworthy and teh car sounds as if its been very well looked after.

teh advert for that one is here:

    Hi! Welcome to the forum!!

Its a little quiet today as we have all been playing on Volvo Tunings Dyno today!!

The top one you are looking at sounds quite tidy 3.5k isn't a bad price to pay and those miles shouldn't worry you as long as its been well looked after.

Make sure you really stretch its legs tho if you take it on a test drive as it may not be utilised properly with elderly drivers and may be a bit stuffy!

Good luck and keep us updated!

P.S I assume you have checked out our classifieds section as there are a couple in there that may suit you?
