    dump valve

    hi all iv got a bailey dump valve on my car im just trying to work out if iv put it in the right place , iv got it on the ic pipe from turbo to inter cooler but iv been told its ment to be on the pipe from the intercooler to the throtle body can anybody help

    it will work on either pipe but the norm is to fit it as near to the throttle body as possible. there's obviously a techie reason but i don't know it.yet.

    The reason why you should put it as close to the TB is so that the boost can be expelled as far from the turbo as possible.
    Forgetting all Chav Tastic reasons why you would fit a DV, the main reason is without a device for getting rid of the boost when the throttle is closed the boost would rush back to the turbo and smash into the compressor blades causing it to stall putting immense load on the turbo shortening its life and also when you get back on the throttle the turbo had to spool up again making it feel laggy.

    Yep hit nail on the head there, you put it as close to the throttle as poss because that is the first place the air hits when the throttle is closed, Walter Leever, your reverse IC pipes are real sweet, where did you get them from?

    thanks mine are from IPD(you can order them from EUROPEAN TUNING,and

    and maybe at Don,dunno)

    sorry to come across chavvy but id quite like a dv,not for the usual pssst noise more just wastegate chatter like the hks ssqv,im not sure what to do about turbo piping,im considering a reverse flow kit then dv but is the reverse flow kit really worth it?

    right all moved now sounds alot better and it dont blow off to soon now aswel so all good now
