    i want to do some polishing in my engine bay, although it's pretty clean to start off with, also i want the inlet's chromed and a chrome turbo pipe (if that's the one that runs over the top of the engine block that get's rather hot)

    Seeing those pics has really inspired me ! I think this weekend I will get out in the garage, get that bonnet up and try to fix my leaky oil filler cap

    (I did like the 164 towards the end though)

    Takes way too much effort to keep them like that for road cars, not really worth it unless you go to countless shows!

    Id love to remove my engine completely, clean up and re paint the engine bay clean up the motor then put it all back in all nice and neat....but then its not going to happen, I dont like disturbing motors once there in place and running well.

    Very nice pics though. Throttle bodies on the 164

    Very impressive shinyness going on there, mine is sort of a hybrid of shiny bits and 80,000 mile uncleaned bits. ie the inside of the engine has done 2-3kmthe outside has done 80k lol, and the shiny bits were part of the work on the insides lol.



    All fast cars long gone. Sensible family BMW 3 series now.
    Still Volvo links though as my wife has a V50 R design sport and a mildly fettled T4
