    Question 97 V70 ME7 or NOT ???

Could anybody tell me if a 97 plate V70 is an ME7 or not.

Also can they be Rica'd and what are the Pro's and Con's ?

    Cheers

My '98 V70 is cable driven, so I assume that a '97 would be - unless of course it has had an engine swap sometime in it's life?

They can be RICA'd - not sure if HLM are still doing their £150 offer??

Yeah, ME7 is generally 1999 onwards although some late registered 1998 slipped through the net!
A quick guide if you can't see the engine - if it has a blue grille badge it is probably ME7!

My dad had a 98 s reg v70 t5. but because it was late in the year when it was registered, it had all the 99 stuff - including the me7 engine and blue grill badge. my c70 t5 on the other hand, was registered early in 98, so is pre me7 and has the black grill badge. mad eh?!

oh - and the pre me7 can be rica'd - but the chip has to be soldered in i believe?? but same gains etc
