How come on the R versions the turning circle is larger at 13m?
Does this not make parking a complete nightmare!
I have drove a v70 phase 2 and the lock was terrible on that at 12m, I guess the S60 been smaller means its easier?

Its because of the 18" Pegs mate, they rub lots on full lock and 3 point turns are no fun, that was in an S60R, let alone the V70.

My lock is not too bad (v70 mk2 on 17s) But C's C70 has a dreadful circle! He needs two go's at every parking manuver!
I want rear wheel steering! (or shopping trolley wheels on rams!)
You think I know **** nothing! But let me tell you I know **** all!
That would explain my mams V70 then she has a set of 17's and 18's, 18's came as new so they may have adjusted the stops on it.
That was the only thing that really put me off was the large turning circle, short of turning to a scooby for 4 wheel drive theres not alot else I like and can get a decent insurance quote on.
you also have the added problem of front wheel drive,
drive shaft joints will only allow so much lock before it stresses them so it has to be limitted.....
Probably the biggest drawback of the V70 IMO. I live in mine and it still pees me off. And I thought my old Alfa 156 was bad! Still, you rarely hear the CV joints click...
Between kerbs the 60 and 70 will have identical turning circles with identical wheel specs. They have the same track and wheelbase. If you think a 70 is bad then try parking an 80!
Think twice before taking it to Gatwick, I needed two attempts at one corner on the way out of the multistorey.
100k up! Serviced by RT.
The only car I've ever had with worse lock was a 1971 Austin 3-litre, I was in Nottingham in a multistory (I think its gone now) and there was a section to go up where there were 4 or 5 cars to each level only (a mini tower up one side to the roof) to the first main parking spaces level. Well on every floor I had to swing round, stop, reverse and re-approach the next up ramp, I simply couldn't do it in one go... By the time I got to the top I had a nice queue behind me, the guy right behind took a few floors before he realised I had no choice once I'd started in and then left me some space! The only car ever to feel heavier than a Volvo too that Austin!
The C70's are a total pain to turn! Cannot figure why it would be any worse than a V70/s60!
I'll need to look at my lock stops/limiters as I'm getting some wheel rub!
Changed from 18's to 17's!
No luck!

My A6 Quattro was worse than my V70 is - not by much, but it was. So for me, the V70 is an improvement!
well Still been looking and think instead of the s60R I may go for the c70 with 19t or hlm hybrid with custom MTE map will probably still cost less as well and better turning so win win
Yeah, its bad on the V70R's but once you know what it can and cant do, you just have to think abit before taking on parking. once you're used to it, its fine.
