This can also be due to blocked vent hoses going to the flame trap which also may need attention.

The 'flame trap' is hidden under the inlet manifold. Not easy....good luck and keep us informed please?

any more info? was it a blocked breather causing the oil to blow out of the filler cap and pop the dipstick out?

    That would be my guess

About £70 for the pcv and all hoses and seals.

And about the same for labour if you cant do it yourself.

Good luck jonno, any sign of another T5 yet ?

Its a simple job re-placeing the pcv but quite time cunsuming. Set aside 4-5 hours if you doing it yourself and i should think about the same at a garage too.
