Help!! I just ordered some of the 6k HID's, now it seems I'll need another pair for my main beams. What size? 8K? & what H1's?

Got a set on the both the 70's here both from Dianeshop on ebay and its the best mod i ever did. Went for the 4300k bulbs as they are less blue.

I wouldnt recommend using HID on the main beam as they take too long to strike and come up to full power. My 2pence...

I wouldn't waste any £'s on buying 'xenon' or other fancy bulbs, I'm sure you can get a decent HID kit for around £40-50, look for either 4300K - 6000K. You will honestly be amazed at the difference these kits make.

Spot on thats what i did with mine and i recon you are about dead right with the power mine are 12000k and to much!

The K value or Kelvin is the colour temperature- the higher the more blue the light. The human eye isn't so responsive to blue so you cannot see the detail or perspective that you can with a more yellow.

Most people suggest 4300k or 6000k are most suitable for car use.

Be sure and check the type of globe as i know mine are diffrnt to the h/lights, but in saying that i want to change my fog/spots as they could be better. Has anyone replaced the R fogs at all ? With a foreign unit...?
