    Question P2 V70 HU603 ££££ed - help!

    Hi

A collegue at work has a P2 V70 with a ££££ed CD player. So what are the options?

He has found one on ebay, a HU803. Is it a direct replacement or does he need to stick to the 603. Also, is ebay a good bet, or is somewhere like salvo better??

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

Ebay you vcan get some bargains, your mate needs to be careful as some Headunits are mated to car chassis,The 603 is non software driven so can go into anything.

Go aftermarket, the output is much better, also you can look to do a sub install with one.

I looked into this recently and you are now looking at £500ish.

The HU-803 needs the external amp to feed the speakers.
It only has a small internal one for the Dolby centre speaker in the dash.

I am pretty sure the 803 is car specific so your better off with another 603, it could cost you a fair few quid at the dealer to program the 803 in aswell.

So, the 803 is out. After market is not a route he wants to go - so 603 from Salvo maybe?
