v70 R engine swap into T5

is it possible to drop a v70 R motor into a t5 and run it from t5 ecu? the only problems i can see is ignition and the fact that it has vvt on both cams.

any thoughts?

Yes... I would give it a miss TBH. The 2.5 capacity of the R engine means much slimmer cylinder walls and the risks of cracked blocks are increased as a result of this and this has been seen many times on the Focus ST forums where these blocks cracking are commonplace. My block cracked on my R as well very recently.

ive also heard about this..... maybe i will stay clear then would be an easy way to get 330 odd ponys with a remap ideal if could get an engine for the right price.
